Saving's Box by Jo Broughton
Julia came across the original Post Office Savings Bank ‘home safes’ while researching the history of the General Post Office (GPO) and was intrigued by its design and desirability and decided it was the perfect project for Jo, not to mention a timely object to produce given today’s financial climate.
The new Savings box is solid and stylish and pays homage to the original ‘book’ design. The box comes in a handmade cloth and embroidered bag with a set of keys and an information booklet that includes a new photographic project by Jo on the theme of poverty in the today’s world.
Available in the New Year.
